Instructions for authors
We recommend that authors use the BIO Web of Conferences Microsoft Word or LaTeX2e guidelines and templates to prepare their documents (see below). Please follow carefully the instructions.
Extra care should be taken when preparing reference lists. Indeed, online references will be linked to their original source, only if possible.
First of all, verify with the organizers the document type to be supplied:
- Format of the documents: 17 x 25 cm one column, or A4 two columns,
- Type of files: print-ready PDF or text files (Microsoft Word or LaTeX2e),
- Short title of the conference to be inserted in the heading.
If the conference organizers chose to provide print-ready PDF documents to the publisher, authors are asked to supply PDFs for all online and print publication. Before making your PDF, please check PDF guidelines.
Authors are asked to submit their documents directly to the conference organizers.
Templates and guidelines
The BIO Web of Conferences document class is derived from the LaTeX2e article.cls based on TEX version 3.141 and LaTeX2e. You may use it with the LaTeX engine or the PDFLaTeX engine. Be sure that the LaTeX version is at least the 2007 version. If you version is older than 2007, please update it. If you are unable to easily update your old version, you may add some specific packages in your local directory.
The macropackage in LaTeX2e, designed for BIO Web of Conferences, is available via anonymous ftp from the ftp server:ftp.edpsciences.org/pub/web-conf
