Protective stands of the forest fund are one of the most important components of environmental safety and sustainable development of the territory. They perform important functions: protecting soils from erosion, regulating the microclimate, improving air and water quality, and ensuring biological diversity. Dzhankoy district is one of the regions where the role of protective plantations of the forest fund is especially important. This area is characterized by a steppe landscape and is subject to strong winds and sandstorms, which leads to intense soil erosion and degradation of the natural background. In this regard, the study of the dynamics of protective plantations of the forest fund and their impact on the natural background in the Dzhankoy district of the Republic of Crimea is becoming an urgent problem for modern science and practice. This study will help to formulate recommendations and suggestions for improving the environmental situation in the region.
