XI International Conference «Biological plant protection is the basis of agroecosystems stabilization»
PhD in Biology, Director of the All-Russian Institute of Biological Plant Protection, Krasnodar, Russia
Preface
In 2020 FSBSI All-Russian Institute of Biological Plant Protection (FSBSI ARRIBPP) celebrates its 60th anniversary. The main mission of the institute is to carry out breakthrough fundamental and advanced applied research, develop innovative technologies for biological and integrated protection of economically significant crops based on the latest achievements of agrobiotechnology, agrobiocenology, precision phytosanitary monitoring methods and molecular genetic diagnostics, which ensure the production of environmentally safe products, preserving the quality of the environment environment and human health, restoration of soil fertility and natural biocenotic regulation.
An important part of our work is building partnerships with leading research and educational centers in key areas of the research program of the FSBSI ARRIBPP on the principles of open network interaction, intellectual and resource integration of participants, development and participation in the activities of professional communities and associations. The international conference “Biological plant protection is the basis of agroecosystems stabilization” is a platform for presenting breakthrough research, exchanging experience, and communicating with all industry participants: science, business, industry, development institutes, unions, and government representatives. Since 1998, the conference has been held regularly every two years, the 11th conference will be held in 2020. Traditionally, an exhibition-presentation of new biological plant protection products and agrobiotechnological companies is organized at the conference venue.
The co-organizers of the conference are the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Krasnodar Krai, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of Krasnodar Krai, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Union of Organic Agriculture, and the International Organization for Biological Control (IOBC- EPRS).
The purpose of the conference is to review the latest domestic and world achievements in the field of production and application of biological plant protection products for organic agriculture technologies, as well as the role of biological plant protection in ensuring phytosanitary, environmental and food safety. The objectives of the conference are: promotion of scientific achievements in the field of modern agrobiotechnology, biological plant protection for organic farming technologies; formation of a single communication platform in the field of agrobiotechnology; development of professional contacts with specialists from other republics and countries; development and strengthening of ties between science, agricultural producers and the legislative authorities; popularization of the values and capabilities of the research and innovation system among students, graduate students and young scientists. Scientists and experts in the field of biological plant protection from Russia and abroad take part in this event. The conference addresses the following issues: prospects for the development of organic farming in different countries; development of the latest phytosanitary monitoring technologies using remote measurements with drones and molecular genetic methods; ecosystem biodiversity as the basis for the development of the production of biological plant protection products and natural biocenotic regulation; development of a range of biological plant protection products based on beneficial organisms and substances of natural origin for organic agriculture; selection of resistant varieties of crops for use in organic farming technologies; development of integrated systems for biological crop protection for organic farming technologies; ecological and economic components of organic agriculture; restoration of soil fertility, biodiversity of beneficial biota and natural biocenotic regulation; certification of organic agricultural enterprises and products; examples of successful management and development of organic farming in different countries.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Biological plant protection is the basis of agroecosystems stabilization” contributes to the formation of new and development of existing trends in the field of biological plant protection, organic farming, expanding the possibilities of practical application of scientific achievements in the field of modern agrobiotechnology.
