DOAJ Seal awarded to BIO Web of Conferences demonstrating “best practice in open access publishing”

We are pleased to announce that BIO Web of Conferences, among 22 other EDP Sciences’ journals, has recently been awarded the DOAJ Seal which “is awarded to journals that demonstrate best practice in open access publishing”. Only around 10% of journals indexed in the DOAJ are awarded the DOAJ Seal, so it is a gratifying mark of recognition of the excellent work BIO Web of Conferences is doing.

Web of Conferences and TIB - German National Library of Science and Technology agree to extend consortium discount for conference proceedings

It is with great pleasure that we announce an extension to the agreement between Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) German National Library of Science and Technology and Web of Conferences, the open access platform from EDP Sciences. The agreement offers a consortium discount of 15 percent for the publication of conference proceedings and has been extended for a further two years until the end of 2022.

We are proud to highlight that Web of Conferences, the open access platform devoted to the publication of scientific conference proceedings, has received outstanding feedback from conference organisers regarding publication times in 2020. We strive to publish proceedings quickly to enable the dissemination and discovery of research amongst the academic community. On average, we publish proceedings online within just 2 weeks for standard conferences and 3 to 4 weeks for larger conferences (involving around 200 papers). EDP Sciences signs agreement with TIB – German National Library of Science and Technology to publish Open Access conference proceedings

On 12 October 2017, EDP Sciences signed a partnership agreement with the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology to support the publication of conference proceedings in a number of STM fields.

The agreement will enable the TIB to publish all German conference proceedings in the areas of Physics, Engineering & Technology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Sciences in the Web of Conferences journal series at a special discounted rate.

EDP Sciences signed an agreement to preserve Journals with Portico

EDP Sciences is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Portico to provide a permanent archive of the e-content for many of their key journals. Through this agreement, institutions participating in Portico’s E-Journal Preservation Service will be assured continued access to EDP Sciences content for generations of their scholars in the future.

Current data will be sent to Portico as soon as the e-journal is published, and a full list of the journals committed to the Portico archive is available at http://www.portico.org/digital-preservation/who-participates-in-portico/participating-publishers/edp.
