Preface

The European Microscopy Congress (EMC2024) was a landmark event in the world of microscopy and imaging, held from August 25^th to 30^th, 2024, in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark. Drawing over 2,500 participants from more than 50 countries, the congress brought together leading scientists, researchers, and industry professionals for a week of scientific discovery and collaboration.

With nearly 100 presentations, close to 800 posters, and a rich exhibition featuring over 100 exhibitors, EMC2024 showcased cutting-edge innovations and research in both light and electron microscopy. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest advancements, connect with industry leaders, and engage with exhibitors.

In addition to the scientific program, EMC2024 was a vibrant hub for networking, offering numerous social events and informal gatherings. With its comprehensive program and strong international participation, the congress became a focal point for the global microscopy community, fostering invaluable knowledge exchange and innovation.
