Collection Activities in the Field of Use of Pathogenic Microorganisms in Ensuring Biological Safety of the Russian Federation

This review reflects the current state of collection activities related to the use of pathogenic microorganisms. A modern regulatory framework regulating key aspects and regulating collection activities, which is a critical step in microbial collection development, is presented. A number of key tasks facing state collections and solutions to ensure biosafety and sanitary-epidemiological well-being of the population of the Russian Federation have been defined. Directions for improving the state collection of pathogenic microorganisms are formulated.
