The article is dedicated to improving the accuracy of shaft turning by controlling the elastically deformed state of the part during processing. This study is conducted on the example of a puller shaft of a cotton harvesting machine, which belongs to the class of non-rigid parts such as bodies of rotation. To evaluate the possibilities of the method and establish theoretical patterns of the behavior of the part during transverse-longitudinal bending, the equation of the elastic line of a non-rigid shaft is solved. An integral assessment is adopted as a criterion of the accuracy in controlling elastic deformations of a technological system.
