Taxonomic diversity of archegonial plants of Central Siberia

The impact of human activities on natural processes highlights the changing landscape and vegetation cover. This study aimed to assess the taxonomic diversity of higher spore-bearing archegonial plants in the Emelyanovsky region, part of the Krasnoyarsk urban agglomeration, covering an area of 7.4 thousand square kilometers. Previous floristic studies in the region were limited, with flora documentation incidental to other research. Fieldwork utilized specific floras and route surveys, identifying eight distinct local floras based on phytocenotic and landscape diversity, and anthropogenic influences. A total of 940 plant species from 340 genera and 89 families were documented in the region. Among archegonial plants, polypodiophytes were the most prevalent (1.28% of all species), while gnetophytes were the least represented (0.11%) in the studied area’s flora structure.
