Probabilistic approach to calculation of durability of reinforced concrete pile exposed to chlorides

In this paper, a deformation model of a reinforced pile subjected to load and chloride-containing medium is applied to predict the behavior of the pile. The model takes into account the probabilistic nature of corrosion processes, the variation of geometric and strength characteristics of the pile, as well as the probabilistic nature of the load. A methodology for calculating the stress-strain state and durability of the pile, taking into account all stages of the process of its interaction with chloride-containing medium, has been developed and the design analysis has been carried out.
