The article contains materials on analyzing the functioning of biokinematic pairs and chains in the human body from the position of the classical theory of mechanisms and machines to determine analogs of connections in the design of functional hospital clothing for people with temporarily limited motor ability. It is shown that the basis of a systematic approach to the design of hospital clothing is a quantitative characteristic of movement limitation through the degree of mobility of the biokinematic chain, which is associated with the introduced concept of the transformation coefficient of adaptive clothing and characterizes the degree of its adaptability (ergonomics).
