Harnessing the Potential of Cordia Dichotoma Gum: A Natural Solution for Health-Promoting Food Formulations

Cordia gum, derived from the Cordia Dichotoma tree, has bioactive properties beneficial to health. This systemic review explores the nutritional benefits of Cordia gum, particularly when used as a powder in food products. Recent studies show that Cordia gum has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and prebiotic effects. As a food ingredient, it improves the texture, stability and nutritional value of products while reducing their glycemic index. This review highlights the potential of Cordia gum to promote a healthy, balanced diet.
