Multidimensional study of the sustainability of Puger shrimp paste agroindustry business

Increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of shrimp paste businesses in Puger District needs to be continuously pursued to maintain the sustainability of Jember Regency's superior regional products. This research was conducted at the Puger shrimp paste business, UD Mina Pangan, this research aims to help Puger shrimp paste entrepreneurs in increasing the competitiveness of their shrimp paste products in terms of product, marketing, finance, legality, human resources, environment and management through the implementation of a Decision Support System (DSS) with a quantitative descriptive approach and expert system. Primary and secondary data were analyzed using DSS software version 2.0, where the results of this analysis will be a recommendation for decisions for shrimp paste entrepreneurs to take steps to improve their businesses. The results of the study show that from the legality aspect, UD Mina Pangan has a legally valid business establishment deed, the DSS score for the production aspect is 41 out of a scale of 50 (very good), the marketing aspect is 43 out of a scale of 65 (fairly good), management and human resource performance is 9 out of a scale of 15 (fairly good), and the environmental aspect is 15 out of a scale of 24 (fairly good). In conclusion, the company's performance is good and can be maximized through several corrective actions.
